Since 1990, a group of parents, those affected and experts have been campaigning for inclusion at school. They advise, sensitise, support, inform and draw attention to situations.

The association “ZEFI asbl – Zesumme fir Inklusioun” has been awarding the “Zesumme fir Inklusioun” prize every year since 2003. With this prize, they support exemplary initiatives or innovative ideas in the field of inclusion of people with special needs.

Offers and activities
- Promoting inclusion: full participation of children, young people and adults in social life (daycare centre, school, training, working life, sport and leisure activities)
- Close cooperation with all other associations and organisations that pursue the same objectives
- Intervention with authorities to ensure the best possible inclusion
- Raising public awareness through conferences, training courses (IFEN), films/debates, statements in the media, the distribution of newsletters and other information.
- Counselling its members in order to achieve the best possible inclusion together and, if desired, support in dealing with authorities.
- The annual awarding of the “Zesumme fir Inklusioun” prize. This prize is intended to recognise a specific project that is an exemplary example of inclusion.

- Who can request support? Parents and those affected.
- How can I request support? By e-mail to info@zefi.lu or via the counselling hotline.
- Does ZEFI intervene in pre-school, primary school and secondary school? Yes.
- Up to what age do they support autistic people? No age limit. Support in the areas that fall within the remit of ZEFI asbl: crèches, schools, further education, transport, work. For other topics, they refer people to other organisations if required. For example: Nëmme mat Eis, OGBL-DTH, etc.
