What assistance can be covered by long-term care insurance?
An autistic person, regardless of their age, may need regular and extensive help (from a service provider, a relative, a private person) with activities of daily living (ATLs).
This need for help in everyday life is often associated with costs. A number of assistance services can be covered by long-term care insurance(Assurance dépendance):
- Activities of daily living;
- Activities if the person in need of care remains at home;
- Activities in support of independence;
- Activities for care in an institution;
- Lump sum for incontinence requirements;
- technical aids;
- Remodelling of the flat;
- Pension insurance contributions of the carer.
You can find more details on the requirements, the procedure and the forms on the guichet.lu website.
